What’s In And What’s Not For Prom 2017

April 10, 2017 by admin

Every girl dreams of wearing the most sensational dress in the world for her prom night. That’s why we’ve put together the latest trends for 2017 – so you can choose the best possible style, shade, cut, and shape for your special event and be sure to be the Belle of your Ball.

The Main Trends for Prom in 2017

Every year we see a wide range of innovative designs popping up on the catwalks in time for prom dress shopping, but overall, this year’s trend is to be classic and elegant. Evening dresses always have a special place at prom, but, there are a few new designer threads you may want to consider.

Long Dresses

Long dresses for prom are elegant, stylish, and traditional. Floor length gowns are making a big comeback this year, and we’re sure to see more girls opting for long, flowing ball gowns for their big night. The most popular style of long dresses is set to be form-fitting fabrics with fluffy skirts. These selection of prom dresses for 2017 are very pretty. It’s worth noting that the length of form fitting dresses may not quite reach the floor, but more popularly to the knees or a little bit higher.

Convertible Dresses

The convertible dress is also a hit this year. In this case, a dress that flows to the floor is best and looks the most elegant by far! 2017 will see prom girls picking long dresses with fluffy skirts and corsets, and there will certainly be a wide variety of colours and shapes to choose from.

Lace Dresses

Another trend to be on the lookout for this year is dresses with bodices made of lace and other transparent materials. Other trends include oval, “to the neck,” boat neck, and even deep swing collars along with open arm options, cut-out heart shapes, and “carmen” sleeves. One shoulder strapped are also big this year, regardless of whether the strap is wide or narrow.

What’s on the Catwalks?

So, which trends have shown the most promise on the catwalks for 2017? Mainly, garments adorned with lace with extensive inserts. While these are a little more costly that other styles, they are certainly unique and will ensure you stand out at prom.

We also need to discuss 2017 prom dress colours. Designers from around the globe always bring out something new and trendy that is sure to impress on the big night. But, as we mentioned earlier, this year is about class and elegance, and that means shades of white and black are very in. While there really aren’t any compulsory colour rules for evening dresses, you really cannot go wrong with a black or white prom dress. Also in this year are pearl and greys.

If you are still deciding what type of dress you would like for your 2017 prom, keep elegant, classy, and lain shades in mind, and if you’re looking for that “wow” factor, go for lace with intricate and extensive details!

Breaking Down Barriers of Cosmetic Treatment

March 25, 2017 by admin

Source

Last week I was in my local beauty clinic Sono Bello receiving some laser liposuction, a great and non-invasive treatment which burned away some of the fatty areas of my body which I have been unable to shift in the gym. Incidentally I should probably give clinic a shout out because I think they are fantastic, check out the Sono Bello reviews if you don’t believe me. Anyway, I digress.

So, as I was sat in the waiting room I was chatting to some of the other girls who were there for treatments about just how fantastic the world of cosmetic surgery is and why more people should get involved, whilst it is gaining in popularity, there are still many who turn their nose up at the idea of receiving cosmetic treatment. For this reason I wanted to talk a little about why I think their opinion should change.

Better Practices

With the exception of the horror story that came out a few years ago about the French-designed breast implants which were bursting under the skin, cosmetic surgery practices are now of an extremely high standard. Cosmetic surgeons must go through exactly the same qualification process as a doctor and they are now using some of the most cutting edge equipment to perform procedures. Aside from this there is a comprehensive pre and post surgery care plan which ensures that the patient is comfortable, confident and in good health.

Improved Pricing

In the past it would only be the rich and famous who could afford to elect for cosmetic surgery but those days have long gone. Because of the popular nature of plastic surgery, coupled with the sheer amount of clinics out there, the cost of treatments seem to be coming down more each year. For example, breast augmentation used to run up a cost of around $18,000 back in the 90s, now you can have your boobs boosted for as little as $2,500. This price makes it far more accessible to many more people.

Helping Mental Health Problems

Feeling better about your body can alleviate many mental conditions, boost confidence and change people’s lives and receiving some cosmetic treatment will enable them to do exactly that. Whilst there are still some charlatan surgeons out there, who incidentally are being driven out of town by authorities, most clinics will sit down and discuss with you at great length your reasons for having surgery. In some cases, clinics may even refer you to a counsellor if they feel as though you have body issues which cannot be solved with surgery. This is not to say that they would perform the surgery, they are a business after all but they will ensure that you’ve had every opportunity to consider your options and make an informed decision.

So here you have it, if you have a part of your body that you’d like to tweak or alter then don’t be scared, get down to your local clinic, have a conversation and change your life for the better.

How to Make Yourself Look Younger

February 25, 2017 by admin

Source

Every day, you get a day older unfortunately. This means that you may also be after some tips to, at least on the surface, stop Father Time and his ravaging effects. Below are some of the options available to you, which includes Ultherapy.

  1. Botox

Botox can do a whole lot of things for you, including:

  • Erase glabellar wrinkles and frown lines, so you stop looking angry.
  • Get rid of those wrinkles on your forehead. You only need between 10 and 20 units, and you won’t have wrinkles for around four months!
  • Lessen crow’s feet and wrinkles. In fact, the FDA has approved it for this.
  • Help to lift your brows, opening up your eyes and making you look more awake.
  • Fill those vertical lines around your mouth.
  1. Obagi

Obagi created ELASTIderm, which also helps to treat crow’s feet around your eyes. This works particularly well in combination with Botox. Obagi Clear, meanwhile, helps to address the  bags under your eyes.

  1. Ultherapy

Generally considered to be the best way to get rid of nasty crow’s feet, Ultherapy is one of the latest therapies around. Best of all, you use it as a standalone treatment, which means you don’t have to get Botox as well, nor do you have to invest in ELASTIderm.

Ultherapy also works really well if you want to lift your brows and open up your eyes. Furthermore, it has been shown to help improve the thin lines around your mouth as well. Also, the FDA has approved Ultherapy to help with sagging skin around the neck area.

  1. Juvederm Ultra Plus

Juvederm Voluma has been approved by the FDA for filling your temples. Results last about two years. Juvederm Ultra XC, meanwhile, helps you to fill the hollow bags under your eyes. It can also be used to plump your lips up, and looks incredibly natural. It can even be used to tighten up the skin on your hands.

  1. Latisse

Latisse, another FDA approved tool, will help you to develop beautiful lashes. It has been clinically proven to make your lashes longer, thicker, and darker in between eight and 16 weeks.

  1. Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers work really well on the lines around your mouth, and even more so if used in combination with Botox. They can also benefit you if you want your hands to rejuvenate.

  1. CoolSculpting

CoolSculpting is the perfect procedure if you want to get rid of fatty bulges. It effectively freezes all those stubborn bulgy areas. It takes just an hour to complete, and you will be ready to get back to your daily life straight away. In fact, you could do it during your lunch break. And the results last a long time as well!

Put together, all of these therapies could easily take decades off your look. Best of all, none of them are classed as surgical procedures, which means you won’t have to take time out of your life in order to recover. At most, you could have a little bit of bruising for a few days, but that is all.
